IN THE ARMY together,
Australia based, were .Nate
Weisberg and Sam Geller ...
When Nate was returned to
the States, Sam told him to
say hello to his parents . . .
Nate did and it was the be-
ginning of another career ...
He met Sam's sister Esther,
took her out and they were
engaged the next day . . .
Recent celebration at Town
and Country Club was 29th
wedding anniversary for
them.
SEEING SIGNS . . . over
display of valentine candy,
"Get Amour for Your
Money." . . . One man who's
going to have to change the
one in his window is the
owner of a fish store in Mi-
ami . . . "We sell everything
that swims," he boasted
proudly, until a gal customer
came in and asked for Mark
Spitz.

AFTER A LOCAL SNEAK

preview of a film at another
movie house, Sol Krim of the
Farmington-4 Theaters says
one patron wrote on his com-
ment sheet, "When you cut
this picture, cut it into very
small pieces."
NORMAN ALLAN will
serve for a second term as
president of the Detroit Busi-
nessmen's Group, City of
Hope . . . Installation dinner-
dance is slated for May 18.

WHEN ALICE ROSEN an-
swered the telephone, a male
voice said, "Come on over."
. . . She didn't answer . . .
"Come on over. We're wait-
ing for you," he said impa-
tiently . . . Much annoyed,
Alice asked, "To whom do
you wish to speak?" . . .
There was a long pause and
then he said, "I'm sorry. I've
got the wrong number. No-
body I know says whom."
BETH ANN SOSIN, 5-year-

old daughter of Harvey and
Harlene Sosin, looked at Max
Sosin's sparsely occupied
head and said, "Grandpa,
why don't you let your hair
grow?

FAVORITE STORIES . . .

byDr.Abe Pearlman ...
about the time while still in
practice, that he warned a
patient, after filling a large
cavity in one of her molars,
that in a few hours the pain
might be so violent that she
would need immediate atten-
tion . . . He suggested that
she call the office after the
local anesthetic had worn off
. . . The lass reported later
that, following Abe's instruc-
tions, she had phoned and
said, "How long do I have
to wait before I know whether
I'm in trouble" . . . A male
voice asked shakily, "Who is
this?" . . . Abe's patient
asked, "Isn't this Doctor
Pearlman?" . . . Came the
voice,• 'happily, "No thank
goodness! You have the
wrong number."

tion with directions to "give
the reason for change of
name." . . . In the space
provided, she wrote, "Love."
ONE THING ABOUT TV

commercials .. . At least we
know they won't be inter-
rupted.
AL DUBIN at Luster Clean-
ers joins others in display-
