Israel Housing
Prices Decline

Between Livernois
& Pinehurst

TEL AVIV (ZINS) — The
real estate market in Israel
is experiencing a crisis since
an important segment of the
market was always the new
immigrant. In 1974 there
were only 32,000 olim as
compared with 50,000 in 1973.
Moreover, foreign inves-
tors who usually purchased
about 1,000 dwelling units
annually have also dropped
out of the market.
In general, housing prices
have declined by approxi-
mately 10 percent as com-
pared to a half year ago.
Business circles believe that
further reductions will take
place owing to the shortage
of cash buyers, which will
be even more severely felt in
the coming months of 1975.
