Bnai David. The concert is co-sponsored by Bnei Akiva-Galil Detroit, the religious Zionist youth or- ganization, and Kochav Chap_ ter of the National Confer- ence of Synagogue Youth: The ensemble i n c l u de s Marty Liebman, end Mark Goldenberg. They have per- formed- extensively in the Detroit and Midwest area, on college campuses, and for various youth organizations in the area. Liebman, a second - year music and linguistics student at Oakland University, is the group's lead guitarist and pianist. He formerly was a member of the Dor Chodosh Singers, and has appeared in concert on numerous occa- sions. Also featured is Mark Goldenberg, a graduate stu- dent at Wayne State Univer- sity, who is lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the group. Goldenberg, a former member of the Avnei. Hako- tel Trio, has performed throughout the Detroit area, both in solo appearances and as a member of the Kol Yis- roel Ensemble. Drummer and percussionist for the group is Keith Mon- ast, a second-year pharmacy student at WSU. Osh Sebro w will perform his original Jewish-English folk songs. Guest speaker at the pro- gram will be Yeshaayahu Tadmor, chief of the Gadna, the training arm of the Israel Army. Tadmar was formerly the assistant director of edu- cation for the Israel Defense Forces, and the director of Israel Television. Humorist Max Sosin will be master of ceremonies. Yehuda vs: News Notes OBeth By MARK HERSCHFUS and ZEV NADLER Six months ago the Yeshivath Beth Yehudah de- cided to build a new addition to their present building. This new addition will house the ever-growing number of Pre-1A and nursery students. Now near completion, the addition is divided into two rooms. The first room will be carpeted and will serve as a classroom. The second room will be a tiled play- room. On Dec. 5, the sixth-grade boys went on a field trip to the Channel 2 TV station, WJBK-TV. Their tour guide showed them all parts of the station. They visited • the control room where the video-taped programs are stored. They also saw a stuntman jump out of a coffin. They visited the commercial studio where they saw the props for a soft drink commercial being set up. Towards the end of their tour,- t h e y previewed the Mike Douglas show and saw the complete list of the pro- grams and commericals that were to be shown that day.
