effort to inform American
Jews and non-Jews about
policies of the religious and
nationalist opposition in Is-
rael has been launched by
The Answer, an independent
media task force organized
earlier this year by young
Jewish professionals and aca-
demics.
The effort will center on
a national speakers bureau
comprised of qualified
spokesmen on the subjects
of Israeli security heeds,

settlement efforts by 'activist

Menachem Dworman, Is-
raeli guitarist, will accom-
pany George Mgdrdichian,

Pro-Musica Society.
A native Israeli, Dworman
came to the U.S. as a child
and studied at Columbia Uni-
versity. He is the owner of
several cafes in Greenwich
Village in which his Feenjon
Group and Mgrdichian's En-
semble are featured.
Mgrdichian is a leading ex-
ponent of the oud, a guitar-
like instrument of 11 strings.
He studied at Juilliard School
and is a doctoral candidate
in music at Wesleyan Univer-
sity. He has made several
concert tours throughout the
U.S. and performed with the
New York Philharmonic. For

LOS ANGELES — Leading
behavioral scientists from the
U.S., Canada, England, Swe-
den, the Netherlands and Is-
rael gathered in Tel Aviv this
week to participate in the
first "International Confer-
ence on Psychological Stress
and Adjustment in Time of
War and Peace," held under
the auspices of the depart-
ment of psychology of Te'.
