The Institute for Judaism,
under the sponsorship of the
Conservative Rabbis of Met-
ropolitan Detroit, will begin
'a new semester Jan. 9 at
Cong. Beth Achim.
The institute offers a 15-
week course for, candidates
for conversion to Judaism. A
detailed approach to the be-
liefs and practices of Judaism
is presented, including a sur-
vey of the Bible, Jewish his-
tory and the contemporary
Jewish community.
Attendance is required not
only by the prospective con-
vert, but also by the prospec-
tive mate, should there be
One.
A registration fee is re-
quired upon enrollment. For
