TEL AVIV (JTA) — The
Israeli Army Engineers have
almost completed fortifica-

and are moving most of their

was reported. -
The work on the Golan
Heights includes the con-
struction of dense- series of
strongpoints, anti-tank
ditches, mine fields and win-
ter quarters for troops.
In Sinai, the static defense
strategy represented by the
Barley Line has been aban-
doned for mobile defense.
Nevertheless, fortified posi-
tions are being built and
anti-tank ditches and mine-
fields being spread all along
the 100-mile front.
Meanwhile, I s r a el corn-
plained-to the United Nations

Egypt is -violating the dis-
engagement agreement by
digging trenches in the
limited armaments zone
which could be used for mis-
sile launching -sites and com-
mand posts. UN officers were
reportedly investigating the
charges.
