National Bank of Southfield
officers and directors offici-‘
ally opened the six-story
white concrete structure near
the northwest corner of Tel-
egraph and Twelve Mile
Rds., Southfield's busiest
commercial intersection.
NBS Financial Center will
become the administrative',
headquarters for the Na-
tional Bank of Southfield as
well as the NBS main bank-
ing office.
NBS will occupy nearly
50,000 sq. ft. on the lower
level, the main and second
floors. The upper four floors,
each with 20,000 sq. ft., will
be leased to financially-ori-
ented tenants.
The 14-foot-high main floor
houses the banking facilities
with 12 teller windows, a

lounge area, large lobby and
banks of elevators giving
access to all other floors.
Also located in the lobby
area is a central security con-

corridors and all public areas
of the building with sophis-

ticated electronic surveil-

The second floor will have
NBS administrative offices,
a trust department, and the
main offices of NBS Finan-

pany for the National Bank
-of Southfield and the Na-
tional Bank of Royal Oak.
A new NBS data processing
center is also on the second
floor. Through this system
NBS will provide up-to-date
24-hour computerized bank-
ing services at the -financial
center and direct computer
service to the five NBS
branches. The NBS compu-
ters will also be available to
