buy the Alfred Glancy family
interest in Community Na-
tional Bank of Pontiac.
Glancy, a prominent Detroit
real estate man, died last
year. The family wanted to
sell its 5 per. cent share of
the bank's stock.

State Senate
Hits UN for
Inviting PLO

State Senator Daniel S.
Cooper (D-Oak Park) an-
nounced the passage of a
Senate Resolution condemn-
ing the United Nations for
dealing with the Palestine
Liberation Organization
(PLO).
"I am infuriated that the
United Nations would allow
a group of international
criminals to participate in
UN affairs while continuing
to openly perpetuate atroci-
ties against the state of Is-
rael and its citizens," Cooper
said.
Meanwhile,_ the senator
also announced that he has
introduced a resolution in the
Michigan Senate calling for
the removal of Air Force
Gen. George S. Brown from
the office of chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Cooper said "Gen. Brown's
unwise comments must be
regarded as an embarrass-
-. -Went and handicap to the
President on both the domes-
tic and international fronts.
I see no way to resolve the
difficulties created by Gen.
Brown's comments other
than to remove him from his
office of chairman of the
Joint Chiefs of Staff."

The People Israel Lives!
By Meriam Margolis

Star of David, Zion's banner
-Firmly fly on high,
Though the vultures flocking
toward you
Blacken blue of sky,
Though barbaric, savage hunters
Aiming at your heart,
Diabolically conspire
To tear you apart!
Like a serpent coiled around you
Is the ring of hate,
Drawing oloser, squeezing tighter,
Threatening your fate!

But, unrvanquished, Star of David,
Pearl in crown of blue,
Freedom's beacon for all
mankind,
Hope of yearning Jew,
Ever nigher, in full splendor,
Soar over your land
And proclaim your mation's
greatness
In heroic stand!

Maxim Percolated
Coffee for Mayvins

People who claim they
can't drink coffee unless it's
freshly perked are often
called mayvins. These are
also the people likely to en-
joy Maxim coffee.
Maxim is percolatrd coffee
that is fast-frozen the instant
it's fully perked, so the fresh
coffee flavor is caught at its
peak. The chunks are re-
activated into coffee the
moment boiling water is
poured.
