(JTA) Addressing 2,000 delegates attending the five- day biennial convention of the Women's League for Conservative Judaism, Mrs. Henry N. Rapaport, outgoing president of the league, said in her keynote statement that "in these days of peril for Israel, in which her very survival is being tested, I call upon every friend of Israel, Jews and Christians, to grasp the significance of this moment- and rise to the challenge" so that Israel's enemies will not be given a chance to destroy her. Terming t h e situation "most grave," Mrs. Rapa- port said that "we have in recent days - been witnesses to the callousness and hos- tility of a world which has apparently forgotten t h e Holocaust and remains indif- ferent to the plans of those who seek to destroy the Jew- ish state." Those who voted in the UN to give "status and respect- ability, to that murderous band which calls itself the Palestine Liberation Organi- zation must themselves be considered as enemies of Is- rael and the Jewish people," she declared. g ".
