training Russian Jewish im-
migrants in the dental pro-
fession. This program is ex-
tensive because of the- lan-
guage barrier and difference
in dental techniques.
In 1972, Alpha Omega was
honored by the Anti-Defama-
tion League of Bnai Brith for
its efforts to "adopt" dentists
in Russia. The fraternity sent
packages of food and reli-
gious articles, along with tel-
egrams and letters designed
to apply pressure on the Rus-
sian government. Among
those whom . they have - tried
to have released are Drs.
Boris Azernikov and Michael
Korenblit.
The Alpha Omega Founda-
tion provides financial loans
for undergraduate, chapters
at the University of Detroit
and University of Michigan.
They also take care of indi-
