survivor believed to be liv-

of Romania and now in Is-
rael, is seeking a friend,
Klara Grunfeld (daughter of
Alexandru) whose destina-
tion upon leaving the concen-
tration camp was the home
of der uncle, Adolf Fox,

Sisterhoods Plan
Parley, Ritual Vote

_ NEW YORK — Delegates
representing 810 _sisterhoods
affiliated with Conservative
Judaism in the United States
and four other countries will
meet for a biennial conven-
tion Nov. 17-21 in Kiamesha
Lake, N.Y.
Israel's Ambassador to the
United States, Simha Dinitz,
will speak on the Mideast
situation.
The delegates also will
discuss and vote on the ex-
panded role of women during
prayer services in the syna-
gogue. The policy-making
vote follows one - year after
the'ruling by the Committee
on Jewish Law and Standards
of the Rabbinical Assembly
of America, allowing women
to be- counted- in the minyan
when approved by the rabbi
of the synagogue.
