AAA ABSOLUTELY

Take heed—
a thought in Israel's hour of need.
When a man gives himself to
other men,
he's no less the man he was
before;
in fact he's more;
The more he gives the more he is,
while others live through him the
more —
and more.
So if you ask the how and why
of giving,
just pause — then tell yourself
it's part of living;
for if we help our brothers in
their trying,
there'll be a little less of dying.

Bill is "crucial to the ulti-

Council is warning its nearly
200 member organizations.
"We in the American Jew-

clearer and more vital role
in the next months than ever
before in ensuring the success
of Soviet Jewry's struggle
for freedom," the council
said.
It urged every organiza-

communicate to President
Ford, Sen. Henry M. Jack-
son (D. Wash.) and to their
senators and representatives
that they support their ef-
forts on behalf of Soviet
Jewery.
In addition, the council
urged "an all-out effort to

ers of conscious and to par-
ticipate regularly in the vigil
held daily at noon, opposite
the Soviet Embassy to dem-
onstrate "constant vigilance"

The Syrians were seen de-

triggered by decisions taken
at Rabat.
Syrian troops have entered
the United Nations buffer
zone and established three
military observation posts in
violation of the separation of
forces agreement which bars
the troops of both sides from
the UN zone.
Israeli forces were engag-

and the adjacent regions of
Galilee. Security forces con-
tinued to search for possible
terrorist infiltrators in west-

Israeli artillery fired on
terrorist strongholds in south-

The target areas were lighted
by flares dropped by Israeli
Air Force planes.
The possibility of terrorist
strikes during the Rabat con-
ference prompted unusual
precautionary measures in
northern Israel. Schools were
closed for one day, and au-
thorities cancelled a soccer
