Born in Russia, Mrs. Fried- man lived 63 years in Detroit. The company which she helped found was started in - 1916 in Detroit and has been located in Hazel Park since 1946. She was a member of Cong. Dr. Levy was born in Yugo- slavia and came to Palestine In the 1920s after earning de- grees in philosophy and bi- ology at European universi- ties. He was involved in build- ing the JNF's main office in Jerusalem but spent much of his career representing the JNF and the Zionist move- ment abroad. Dr. Levy served as JNF director in Yugoslavia and during World War II orga- nized .JNF and Zionist ac- tivities in Australia.
