THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Friday, October 4, 1974-47 Adriana Neumann, Israeli Painter, Dies NEW YORK (JTA) — An Israel artist, Adriana Neu- mann, died Saturday. She was in her 40s. 'Ms. Neumann, resided in Manhattan. She was well known in artistic circles in Israel and New York as a tal- ented artist, batik expert and stage designer. Born in Bucharest, she em- igrated to Israel in 1961 and shortly thereafter began to design scenery for various theaters in Israel. She also had a number of exhibitions that were received favorably by art critics and the public alike. Ms. Neumann arrived in New York in 1972. She de- signed costumes for the Jew- ish Experimental Theater here and had several exhibi- tions for the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the American Zionist Federation.
