time. After being inundated
with message movies and
other garbage productions,
" 'Rabbi' Jacob" is a breath

duction with subtitles, star-
ring Louis de Funes, really

owner who gets involved with
anti-revolutionary terrorist/
Mafia types. He is taken hos-

Jacob is called to the Torah
at a relative's Bar Mitzva,
and since he has never read
Hebrew, he tries to read the

not overpowered by it, and
the hilarious facial contor-

is a delight, and offers an
occasion to laugh out loud for
a change.—Heidi Press
