flight from the Hitler terror, arrived in Palestine in 1943.
American Mizrachi Women received and cared for this
group at Mosad Aliya, the organization's first children's
village, in Petah Tikva. Today, Mosad Aliya is an agricul-
ture high school serving young people of many origins.

Judge S. Jerome Bronson
formally announced he will
seek another term on Michi-
gan's intermediate appeals
bench.
Bronson, 44, has served
six years on the Court of Ap-
peals since he was first
elected from the state's Di-
vision 2 in 1988.
Bronson was elected -Oak-
land County Prosecutor in
1964, served as that county's
chief law enforcement offi-
cer for four years before his
election to the Court of Ap-
peals. Previously he prac-
ticed law for 13 years in Oak-
land County following his
graduation from WayneState
University's law school in
1954.
He also has participated on
the civil liberties committee
of the State Bar of Michigan
and the committee on crim-
inal jurisprudence of the
State Bar..
He was a member of the
National District Attorneys
Association and the National
Council on Crime and Delin-
quency.

cup lukewarm water
11/4 to 11/2 cup flour
raisins or currants
Place 1 cup lukewarm water in
a small mixing bowl. Add sugar
and yeast and stir until dissolved.
Set aside.
Place 5 cups sifted flour in a
large bowl. Make a well in the
center and add salt, whole eggs,
oil and yeast mixture. Mik thor-
ouhgly and add 1/2 cup lukewarm
water; stir in. Add additional 11/4
to 1 1/2 cups flour or enough to
make a dough that is just stiff
enough to handle easily. On a
flobred boar d (with floured
hands) knead dough until it is
smooth and elastic. Oil a large
bowl and place dough in it. Turn
once so top is oiled. Cover bowl
with a towel. Let stand until

Put in refrigerator overnight.
Remove and knead for a few
seconds. Divide dough into two
sections, then add a handful of
raisins to each section and knead
them in. Divide each section
into three balls and knead each
a few seconds. With fingers, roll
each ball to form a cylinder
about. 1 inch in diameter (work
from center to sides).
Braid dough into a round
shape. Place on a greased
cookie sheet. Cover with towel
and let rise. Bake at 350 degrees
30-35 minutes until golden brown:

Cheese, certified kosher
spreads smooth and creamy,
and is a treat on bagels, mat-
zo, muffins or on home-made
halla. It's also good when
creating delicious dessert
treats, too.

BLUEBERRY
LEMON SPARKLE

1 8-oz. pkg. Philadelphia Brand

Cream Cheese
.> cup/ sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 ,4 cup shredded coconut
1 cup heavy cream, whipped
1 -pt. blueberries
Combine softened cream cheese,
sugar, lemon juice and rind, mix-
ing until well blended. Fold in
coconut and whipped cream.
Spread mixture onto bottom and
sides of 9-inch pie plate. Freeze.
Just before serving, fill center
with blueberries. Serves 6 to 8.
