Center Registration Due Sunday Rites Solemnized

teens and adults. Denise Szy-
kula again offers contemp-
orary dance courses for teens
and adults.
Also returning to the Cen-_
ter program this year are
Genie Warren and Martha
Seller to instruct teens and
adults in belly dance. Gingi
Ben-Zeev, Israeli dance ex-
pert, returns this fall, and
Rachal Jacobs will instruct
classes in modern dance with
jazz basics for adults. Har-
riet Berg, Center dance co-
ordinator, will again offer
contemporary dance courses
for all ages.
New to the Center Dance
Program this year are Karen
Freedland, performer in the
Young Dancers Guild, and
Maria Lascu, wife of ballet-
master Jacob Lascu, and
former lead dancer of the
Romanian National Folk En-
semble.
A special sale of used
dance paraphernalia will be
offered for sale Sunday in
the Center dance studio. Pro-
ceeds will go to the Ruth
Goodman Dance Fund to as-
sist with scholarships, spe-
cial dance projects and guest
artists.

Registration for the fall
semester of classes at the
Jewish Center will take place
9:30 a.m. Sunday, at the Cen-
ter main building, for mem-
bers only. Both members
and nonmembers may regis-
ter at 2 p.m.
An added feature of the
1974-75 program year is the
expanded Hebrew Program
which offers traditional lan-
guage instruction, along with
special English courses on
Israel and the American and
world Jewish communities.

Cheryl Faye Goldman be-
came the bride of David
Bryce Rosen in a recent
ceremony at Bnai Zion Syna-
gogue, El Paso, Tex. Rabbi
Stanley Herman officiated.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gold-
man of Lesure Ave. Parents
of the bridegroom are Mr.
and Mrs. Hymer Rosen of El
Paso.
The bride wore a silk jer-
sey, full-length gown trim-
med in English lace and em-
broidered with seed pearls.
She carried an orchid and
sypsophila on a Bible belong-
ing to the bridegroom's
mother.
Dr. Barbara Goldman of
Laurel, Md. was her sister-
in-law's matron of honor, Jo-
Ann Rosen of N. Hollywood,
Calif., sister of the bride-
groom, was bridesmaid. Dr.
Lawrence Goldman, brother
of the bride, and Mallory
Holloway of Dallas, were the
bridegroom's attendants.
After a honeymoon in Mex-
ico, the couple will live in
Dallas. He was graduated
from the University of Texas
and St. Mary's Law School in
San Antonio. He is a member
of Delta Sigma Pi and Delta
Theta Phi law fraternity. He
was a captain in the Army
and received the Combat
Medical Medal.
The new Mrs. Rosen re-
ceived a BS and master's
degree in education from
Wayne State University.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tor-
gow of Winchester Ct., Oak
Park, announce the engage-
ment of their daughter Alissa
Lynn to Alan Rothstein, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin
Rothstein of Westhampton
Ave., Oak Park.
Miss Torgow attends Wayne
State University's college of
education, majoring in spe-
cial education. Her fiance
also attends Wayne State,
where he is majoring in mar-
keting.
A June wedding is planned.

Marcy Lou Brode and Scott
Alan Trager were married
in a recent ceremony at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Rabbi
Irwin Groner officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cas-
sel of Kenwood Ave., Oak

Ellen to Joel David Mishne,

Gell Grove in the Kennedy
Peace Forest, outside Jerus-
alem, in memory of her late
husband. She was in Israel
as part of a tour led by
Rabbi Milton Arm of Cong.

plaque was affixed to the
side of the Kennedy Mem-
orial bearing the name of
Mr. Gell.
Mr. Gell, a leading busin-
