Bonn Judge Accused
of Bias During Trial

BONN (JTA) — A high
court has been called upon to
mediate a war crimes trial
dispute in which the defense
counsel accused the judge
and his two assistants of bias.
The dispute led to a one-
week postponement of the
trial of nine former Gestapo•
officials in Giessen who are
accused of murdering or
abetting the murders of hun-
dreds of Jews and Poles in
German-occupied Poland be-
tween 1940-44. The judge has
denied the bias charge.
