awarded a drama scholarship
by Interlochen Academy. The
academy's drama faculty
voted the honor on the basis
of Phillip's "excellence and
versatility in the realm of
drama." Only one such
award is given each year.
Phillip has studied and
performed at the Center for
the past seven years, under
the direction of drama co-
ordinator, Irene Malin. He
will be appearing in the up-
coming Young People's The-
ater performance of Isaac
Bashevis Singer's "Mazel and
Shlimazel," Nov. 9-17 during
the 23rd Annual Jewish Book
Fair.
