Beth Tephilath Moses of Mount Clemens announces the appointment of Rev. Mar- shall L. Goldman, as cantor for the High Holy Days be ginning at sundown Sept. 16. Rev. Goldman is coming from Jerusalem for this occasion. A native Detroiter, he has been residing in Israel for the past four years. Rev. Goldman attended the Hebrew Theological Seminary and Roosevelt University of Chicago. Upon completion of Ms education, he returned to Detroit where he became ac- tive in the-Jewish community. He was on the faculty of the Borman Branch of the United Hebrew Schools for many years. At the same time, he also served as a mohel in the community, and was called to officiate in many communities through- Israel and Haiti Sign Agreement JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel and Haiti signed agree- ments of mutual cooperation here Aug. 28. The signing, by Foreign Minister Yigal Allon and the foreign minister of Haiti, Edner Brutus, marked the end of the latter's official visit to Israel. Brutus, who serves as reli- gious affairs minister in the Haitian government, visited the Yad Vashem Memorial and laid a wreath there. During his visit he called on President Ephraim Katzir to deliver a personal message from Haiti's president, Jean- Claude Duvalier. He also met with Premier Yitzhak Rabin and with Haim Zadok, justice minister and minister of re- ligiows affairs.
