The officer, whose name was not disclosed, has denied the charge. The colonel and his group were on their way to the mon- astery to visit an army unit there when their vehicles were immobilized by the snow. The colonel continued the journey on foot, not taking into consideration that his own physical fitness was no guage of the fitness of the others who were not properly dressed for the weather con- ditions.
