Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. There will be a special pre, view 6-9 p.m. Sept. 4 at a nominal charge. A haven for collectors, stu- dents, bibliographers, schol- ars and everyday readers, with more than 70,000 books including fiction, art, poetry, science, hist or y , music, classics, textbooks, c o n k - books, encyclopedias, garden- ing, religion and mystery books. Old records and sheet music are also being offered. Represented in more than 120 communities nationally, Brandeis University Women's Committee chapters main- tain both the Goldfarb and Miss Weingarten Now Mrs. Lafer Gerstenang Science libraries by providing funds each year for books and journals, pro- fessional staff and student workers, equipment and li- brary operation. The Detroit chapter sale is the largest in the tri-state area. Unwanted books col- lected and sold help the chapter raise its share of funds along with voluntary contributions and annual and- life memberships. Proceeds from the sale buy new books for students in both graduate and under- graduate levels. Leftovers from the sale are donated to needy local groups.
