Nathan Hersh Knoppow, a
real estate agent at 17308
McNichols for 23 years died
July 29 at age 67.
Mr. Knoppow, 14231 Wales,
Oak Park, was past presi-
dent of Louis Marshall Lodge
of Bnai Brith. He held
a masters degree in sociology
from Wayne State Univer-
sity. Born in Russia, he lived
in the Detroit area 52 years.
Surviving are his wife, Syl-
via; a son, Kenneth; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Robert (Dr. Joyce)
Warshawsky of E d i n a,
Minn.; a brother, Isaac; and
two sisters, Mrs. Sonia Mitch-
elson and Mrs. Max (Gwen)

Ernst Isidor, former presi-
dent of the Amsterdam Ash-
kenazi community, died re-
cently at age 63.
Mr. Isidor was eulogized by
the former chief rabbi of Am-
sterdam, Aaron Schuster, act-
ing Chief Rabbi Meir Just
and Israeli Ambassador Ha-
nan Bar-On. Mr. Isidor was
a German refugee who ar-
rived in the Netherlands in
the 1930s.
