Lawrence Siegel,
of Furniture Store

Lawrence (Larry) Siegel,
owner and operator of the
Regal Furniture Store, died
July 26 at age 58.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Siegel
lived in Flint for the past 12
years. He was a member of
Cong. Beth Israel. Mr. Siegel
resided at 3319 Barth.
He is survived by his wife,
Annabelle; a daughter,
Wendy; and a son, Kenneth
of New York.

Delegates to Attend CJFWF Assembly

The Flint Jewish Commun-
ity will send delegates to
the 43rd general assembly of
the Council of Jewish Federa-
tions and Welfare Funds to
be held Nov. 13-17 in Chi-
cago.
Topics to be discussed in-
clude "The Yom Kippur War
and the Aftermath: Its Mean-
ing f o r North American
Jewry," "Community Rela-
tions and the Middle East,"
"New Services for the
Aging" and "Federations
Revisited: an Updated View
of the Philosophy of Federa-
tions." There also will be a

videotape training institute.
The assembly will con-
clude with a banquet on Nov.
16, and a breakfast session
Nov. 17 at which an election
of officers will take place.

ity Council's annual dinner
will be Sept. 8 at Cong. Beth
Israel, announces Dr. Ira
Marder, chairman.
Dr. Marder also announced
that Marla Stone has accepted
the appointment of decora-
tions chairman for the event.
Mrs. Stone has just com-
pleted her term as arts and
crafts specialist at Camp
Maccabee.
