NEW YORK (JTA) — Six
students have completed all
requirements for graduation
from Touro College, the city's
newest private four-year col-
lege of liberal arts and sci-
ences, during the first three
years of the college, accord-
ing to Dean George Cohen.

Achenbach said that as a
lawyer he knows that 30
years after the Nazi crimes,

Germany's commissioner in
the European Economic Com-
munity, Ralf Dahrendorf,
had urged Achenbach to re-
sign his seat in the European
Parliament in Strasbourg.
Meanwhile, t h e North
Rhine-Westphalian Minister
of Justice, Dr. Diether Pos-
ser, defended Judge Viktor
De Somoskoeoy, who passed
a two-month sentence on
Beate Klarsfeld in Cologne.
A statement said court
rulings were naturally open
to criticism, but a court had
to proceed from the legal
situation as it is, and from
the principles of a constitu-
tional state.

West Germany to suspend the
60-day jail term imposed on
Mrs. Klarsfeld.
In a letter to Berndt von
Staden, the West German
ambassador to the United
States, ADL's national
chairman, Seymour Grau-
bard, also called for the
speedy ratifiCation of the
Franco-German agreement.
Graubard added that it was
"ironic" that Kurt Lischka,
a Gestapo official in Paris
during the Nazi occupation,
and "others like him should
go free," while Mrs. Klars-
feld is facing incarceration.
Her aim, the ADL chairman
said, was to demonstrate the
need for the German judicial
system to meet its responsi-
bility.

permit Germany to retry
Nazi war criminals convicted
in absentia in France, has
announced he will resign
from the Bundestag commit-
tee considering the treaty.
"I have now decided to ask
another (committee) col-
league to take over so that
the emotion should be taken
from the who thing,"
Achenbach said in a televi-
sion interview Monday night.
Members of the FDP have
been calling for Achenbach's
removal from the foreign af-
fairs committee and even
from the Parliament since
he appeared on French tele-
vision urging amnesty for

murder charges against for-
mer Warsaw Gestapo chief
Ludwig Hahn.
In June 1973, Hahn was
sentenced to 12 years impri-
sonment for complicity in the
murder' of an indefinite num-
ber of Jews and Poles in
Warsaw's Pawiak jail from
1941 to 1944.
Because of age and ill-
health, Hahn was not com-
mitted to prison. He also ap-
pealed against the sentence.
The new charges accuse
Hahn of murdering 2,000
Polish civilians in August
1944 during the Warsaw
uprising.
