Golda Leaves Official Residence

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Former Premier Goida Meir
quietly left her Jerusalem
official residence Sunday—
after close to five years as
prime minister.
She left the premier's resi-
dence escorted by her sister,
Clara Stern of Bridgeport,
Conn. The two women went to
Golda's modest Tel Aviv
apartment, next door to her

Heir to Rothschild
Fortune Marries

PARIS — Baron David de
Rothschild, 31, son of Baron
Guy de Rothschild, head of
the French branch of the
banking family, was married
in a nonreligious ceremony to
Italian heiress Olympia Aldo-
brandini, a descendant of
Pope Clement VIII.
The couple was married by
the bridegroom's moth e r,
Baroness Alix de Rothschild,
in the small town of Reux of
which she is mayor. She and
Baron Guy are divorced, but
she has been allowed to re-
tain the title.
The bride is the daughter
of Don Francesco and Donna
Maria Aldobrandini, descend-
ants of an Italian noble fam-
ily. The couple, who met at
the new Mrs. de Rothschild's
coming-out party, is expected
to make their home in Paris.

She spent the last hours in
t h e . Jerusalem residence
packing, with her daughter,
Sarah.. Rehavi, . son-in-law,
Zechariyah and her sister
helping her. She left behind
most of the furniture and the
gifts she had received as
prime minister. As she left,
she walked to an adjacent
building to thank a woman
neighbor for always keeping
her stereo turned down.
The official residence is
now being painted and
readied for its new occu-
pants, Premier Yitzhak Rabin THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS
and family.
