Ex-Bonds Director Saluted

Radomer to Honor
Couple—and Bonds

Louis E. Levitan, former director of the Detroit Israel
Bond office, received the Eleanor Roosevelt Humanities
award at the eighth annual United Israel Bond dinner-
dance at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Levitan is now West Coast
supervisor for State of Israel Bonds. United Israel consists
of Radomer Mutual Socitey, Sephardic Community of De-
troit, United Jewish Social Club, Workmen's Circle Branch
227 and Zionist Revisionists. Their combined efforts re-
sulted in the purchase of $150,000 in Israel Bonds. Shown
are, from left, David Pollack, general chairman, Detroit
Israel Bond Committee; Mrs. Pollack, women's division
chairman; Mrs. Mordecai Tzipori; Gen. Tzipori, chief of
organization, Israeli Defense. Forces; Mr. and Mrs. Levitan;
