HILLEL
HAPPENINGS

By MARTY PASTERNAK
Sunday marks the presen-
tation of "Pinocchio," a chil-
dren's play presented by the
9th grade. The performances
will be at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased in
advance or at the door. For
information, call Marty Pas-
ternak, 557-6397. See you at
the theater, which is at the
school, 32200 Middlebelt,
Farmington.
This past year marked the
fourth year that Hillel has
been on Middlebelt. Some of
the highlights have been a
10th grade class, fund rais-
ing by the eighth and ninth
grades and the biggest en-
rollment in the school's his-
tory.
Fund raising has been non-
ending this year. The eighth
grade's efforts included
weekly bagel sales to all and
salad sales to the faculty.
They also had a '50s sock
hop, a rummage sale and
two performances of "Shaw's
Fair Lady," a musical ex-
travaganza.
Some of the ninth grade's
efforts have been the show-
ing of "The Poseidon Adven-
ture" and "You Only Live
Twice." Also promoted were
the annual pop machine and
a square dance. "Pinocchio"
will end all student fund rais-
ing for the year.
