associated with Brandeis, and
her family was responsible
for establishing the Protes-
tant chapel on the university
campus in Waltham, Mass.
The 26-year-old nonsectar-
ian university is assisted in
its library fund-raising ef-
forts by 24 women's chapters
across the country. Life
membership funds are used
to sustain the libraries and
to underwrite the Brandeis
library work scholars pro-
gram, by which gifted under-
graduates can finance their
education while assisting the
libraries' professional staff.
