Soviet Jew's Kin
Located; Publicized
in Jewish News

Thanks to the efforts of
Detroit Councilwoman Mary-
ann Mahaffey, the relatives
of a Soviet Jew have been
located in the United States.
V. Schwartzman of Odessa
sent a plea for the where-
abouts of a second cousin,
the letter arriving at the of-
fices of the Detroit Common
Council in March. All he
knew was that his father's
cousin, Elek Naifleish (or
Razumny), had lived on
Roulo in the Springwells
neighborhood in 1924-25. Nai-
fleish (Razumny) and his
wife had visited Moscow in
summer 1971 and they spend
part of the year in Florida.
Miss Mahaffey asked The
Jewish News to assist by
publicizing the search.
This week, Miss Mahaffey
informed The Jewish News
that Schwartzman's relatives
have been located, and she
was told they have promised
to contact him.

In the spring a young
man's fancy slightly turns
his head.
