Torczyner : Speak
Openly on Israel

NEW YORK (JTA)—At a
time when the dialogue be-
tween Israeli and American
Jewish leadership called for
honesty and candor, too
many American Jewish orga-
nizations felt inhibited and
limited themselves to non-
controversial public state-
ments and pious wishes, said
Jacques Torczyner, chairman
of the American. Section of
the World Jewish Congress,
in his report to the plenary
council of the American sec-
tion.

For I, the Lord your God,
have hold of your right hand,
I who say to you, "Fear not!
I am your helper."
—Isaiah 41:13.
