Shaarey Zedek. "This musical event, pri- marily sponsored by the De- troit Committee for Soviet Jewry, has won the support of the major congregations and other Jewish organiza- tions as co-sponsors on a completely dedicated partici- pating basis," according to the arrangements committee. The entire proceeds are earmarked to aid oppressed Jews in the Soviet countries, under the direction of the Detroit Committee for So- viet Jewry. The highlight of the pro- gram will be the perform- ance of two violin concerti— the Mozart Concerto in D and the Brahms Concerto in D, by Treger, with an orchestra conducted by Julius Chajes.
