THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Meyer Schneider, Meyer Schneider, who died April 15 at age 81, was a well-known figure in labor circles, it was noted at funeral services for him at Kaufman Chapel last week. Mr. Schneider, a past pres- ident of Workmen's Circle Branch 157, had been active in the Socialist Party and a good friend of Norm an Thomas. He also counted the late Walter Reuthers as rriong his close friends. For some years, he was a manager of men's clothing at the Frank and Seder department store on Woodward Ave. before going into his own business.
