Hillel Day School Parents Plan

Robert Benyas, president
of the Sholem Aleichem In-
stitute announces an oneg
Shabat for 8:30 p.m. April
26 at the Labor Zionist Insti-
tute.
The Sholem Aleichem
Choir, directed by Rose Mor-
gan, will present a musical
program featuring a cantata,
"The Promised Land" by
Julius Chajes in commem-
oration of the birth of the
state of Israel.
Also participating in the
program will be the Habo-
nim Dance Group. There will
be community singing.
Refreshments w i 11 be
served, and there is a nom-
inal charge. The public is
invited.

Opportunity Day
Set for Women

Women's Opportunity Day,
a program to help women
explore their opportunities in
various fields, will be held
9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. April 27 at
Bloomfield Country Day
School.
Mrs. Joyce Garrett, direc-
tor of the Detroit Bicenten-
nial Commission, will be
keynote speaker.
Barbara Robb, attorney
and board member of the
Michigan Trial Lawyers As-
sociation, will speak on
"Legal Rights and You."
Mrs. Jane Greenawalt, facul-
ty member of the University
of Michigan Graduate School
of Business Administration,
will discuss "Where Are You
Going and How Can You Get
There?"
Tests will be conducted
to assess the interests and
abilities of participants, and
a workshop on char m,
"Shape Up and Ship Out,"
will be held.
Participants may pick two
of the four sessions, and may
attend two of the afternoon
programs on small business
ownership and management,
banking and financing, sales
and advertising and public
relations. There is a fee for

The Hillel Day School

Joseph Peleg, violinist;
Judith Kenedi Peleg, pianist;
and Bruce Weinberger, saxo
phonist in "An Evening of
Chamber Music for Israel"

The program will include
music by composers such as
Ravel, Bloch, Gershwin, Mil-
haud, Ben-Haim and others
