More than 9,000,000 Amer-
icans suffer from asthma,
and half are children. It is
estimated that 6,000 of them
—half of them children—will
die during 1914 because of
their illness, according to
U.S. government statistics.

out regard to race, color,
creed or financial status.
They are referred by physi-
cians, hospitals and clinics,
and the severity of their ill-
ness- is the only criterion for
their admission.
