The meeting was attended
by 60 leaders from 10 coun-

ernors.
A Jewish Agency spokes-
man told the JTA that a num-

coming campaigns in the
Diaspora had been adopted
and would be brought before
the executive for advice and
approval. The meeting was
addressed by Paul Zucker-

the United Jewish Appeal.
Edward Gins-berg, chair-
man of the American Joint
Distribution Committee, told
the meeting: "We have all
heard the statement by the
acting chairman of the Jew-
ish Agency, Leon Dulzin, that
the cost of the (Yom Kippur)
war had been $8,000,000,000.
This is a frightening figure.
At the same time, it cannot
• in any sense be measured
against the loss in human
life sustained by the people
of Israel. But the least we
• can do is- to help them make
good the material losses and
to restore the shattered Is-
raeli economy."
LONDON (JTA) — The

Agency that the target was
$1,250,000,000, as well as the
redemption of pledges, cash
flow and international coop-
eration between appeal or-
ganizations in various Dias-
pora countries for the pur-
pose of sharing techniques
and experiences at various
levels.
He said that this type of
