The wedding took place in the date , palm orchard of Yotvata, and the bride wore a gown handmade by the bridegroom's aunt who lives in Tel Aviv. Nearly 1,800 volunteers are responsible for planning and coordinating the sale, while the families of more than 30,000 scouts help make it a success. Five varieties are offered: peanut butter patties, mint, chocolate chip, shortbread and sandwich. Even though bakery costs have increased, the price will remain the same—$1 for,each family-size box. Through the cooperation of merchants and other busi- nessmen, more than 750 booths will be set up in stores, banks and other neigh- borhood shops. These booths provide an opportunity for the scouts to sell to the pub- lic since GSMD does not per- mit door-to-door sales.
