SITALS/66AFOOD/COOMULS

WHAT STARTED OUT 24
years ago as a small antique
show by Sisterhood of Temple
Israel . . . with only eight or
10 dealers . . . has whop-
pered into a top-notcher in
the local community . . . as
local artists call to ask why
they haven't yet been invited
to exhibit . . . The group's
annual Arts and Artisans
Fair March 23-26 has gotten
to be such a big shindig that
antiques have been dropped
for the first time . . . to
make room for the almost
2,000 professionally hung gal-
lery pictures by over 100 ex-
hibitors and works of ' 20
artisan dealers . . . including
one woman who decorates
goose eggs . . . Co-chairmen
are Lois Singer (Milford) and
Lipschutz (David) . . ..It's
one of the few art shows
where most of the exhibitors
are from the local area . . .

entered Bim's Loan Office
and asked to see a small
flute that was on display in
the sunlit window . . . When
her hand touched the' sun-
warmed metal, the sister ex-
claimed, "Oh, its hot!" . .
Looking alarmed, owner Ben
Harrison managed to gasp,
"No it isn't — it's legit!"
