tarded.
Rosen, superintendent of
the Macomb-Oakland Resi-
dential Center, is president
of the American Association
on Mental Deficiency and is
project co-director of a fed-
eral grant on "Deinstitution-
alization of the Hard-to-Place
Retarded," an accelerated
program that places multiply
handicaped retarded in foster
homes within the community.

Series to Bring 'Culture Makers'

A glimpse into the worlds
of music, dance, opera and
theater will be offere-d–i-n the
Thursday afternoon (1 p.m.)
performing arts series spon-
sored by the Greater Detroit
Section, National Council of
Jewish Women, at the coun-
cil office.
The opening program next
week will feature Dr. David
DiChiera of the Michigan
Opera Theater and the Music
Hall Center for the Perform-
ing Arts.
• On March 14, Harriet Berg,
dancer, instructor and chore-
ographer, will explore the
world of dance with the aid
of members of her troupe
from the Jewish Center.
Leonard Leone, diretor of
the Wayne State University
Theater, will be guest speak-
er March 28. Drawing on his
experiences of more than 25
years with the theater, he
will discuss modern trends.

The sounds of Israeli folk
music will be heard April 11.

program are Mesdames Ar-
nold Grant, Albert Lieber-
man, and Meyer Stein.
