Women of Sinai to Be Cited by Jewish National Fund

Sinai Hospital Women's
Guild is looking for women
with a few hours available
each week to serve as volun-
teers. The guild has openings
for women with sales experi-
ence, clerical skills, artistic
interests, hostessing s k ills
and many others.
New volunteers will receive
an orientation and training
program to acquaint them
with the hospital and their
functions. Individual prefer-
ences for assignments will be
respected as fully as possi-
ble.
To volunteer, call the guild
office, 272-6000, ext. 8296.

Brandwine was born in
New York in 1910 and has
lived in the Detroit area
since he was 6. He attended
the old Trowbridge School,
Cass Technical High School,
and was graduated in 1932
from the University of De-
troit with a degree in archi-
tecture. He spent most of his
adult life in the oil business,
from which he retired and is
presently engaged in the con-
struction business.
Mrs. Brandwine, the for-
mer Matilda Biber, also was
born in New York — in 1915
— and _came to Detroit as an
infant. Like her husband. she
has been active in the Jewish
and general communities.
She is president of the wom-
en's division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation and a
member of the JWF executive
and governing boards, of the
national board of the United
Jewish Appeal women's divi-
sion, and of the national
council of the Joint Distribu-
tion Committee.

BURDICK - LEVINSON:
Rhoda Ann Levinson became
the bride of Donald I. Bur-
dick in a recent ceremony at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek. The
bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Levinson of
Middlebelt Rd., West Bloom-
field. Parents of the bride-
groom are Mrs. Max Bur-
dick of Lincoln Blvd., Oak
Park, -and the late Mr. Max
Burdick. The bride wore a
Victorian-style gown, and
carried roses. Nancy Golden
was maid of honor, and Phyl-
lis Levinson was a brides-
maid. Michael Perlin was
best man, and Dr. Gerald
Levinson, brother of the
bride, was an usher. The
couple is living in Bloomfield
Hills.
