Shroder Award for 1973 was formally presented to the Jewish Historical So- ciety of Western Canada at the fifth annual joint meeting with the Manitoba Historical Society. The presentation was made by the Council of Jew- ish Federations and Welfare Funds and was only the sec- ond time, since the award was established in 1953, that a first place Shroder plaque had been presented to a Can- adian city.
