Something exciting is al-
ways happening at the Dead
Sea, a destination in Israel
that is too often overlooked.
This area, which lay desolate
since the destruction of So-
dom and Gomorrah until
only a few years ago, now
boasts deluxe hotels, bathing
beaches, sulphur baths with
medical facilities, museums
and a floating discotheque.
Rapidly becoming a new
Riviera in the Middle East,
the Dead Sea's popularity is
due to its overpowering land-
scape, curative hot springs,
historical sites such as Ma-
sada and Qumran, and warm
winter climate.
The waters of the Dead Sea
have been proven to have a
high concentration of salts
and minerals which are
beneficial to the treatment
of skin diseases, white hot

treatment of rheumatism and
arthritis.
The Dead Sea shore is only
a two-hour drive away from
Jerusalem at the furthest
point, and any visitor to Is-

excursion to this exciting
new resort.
