Comav's Son Dies

Katherine Stone, 60,
Active Clubwoman

Katherine (Kitty) Stone, a
member of several women's
organizations, died Jan. 7 at
age 60.
Mrs. Stone was a member
of Women's Bicur Cholem
Society, Cong. Beth Achim
Sisterhood, Detroit Chapter
of Bnai Brith and the Sinai
Hospital Women's Guild.
She leaves a son, Howard;
a daughter, Mrs. Ronald
(Fern) Adelstein; a brother,
Dr. Leonard W. Moss; and
two grandchildren.

Producer Myerberg

NEW YORK - Stage and
screen producer Michael
Myerberg died Sunday at age
67. He owned the Brooks
Atkinson Theater here for
many years.
Mr. Myerberg produced
Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer
Prize-winning drama, "The
Skin of Our Teeth," starring
Frederic March, in 1942.

The Jewish News just
learned of the tragic death
of the only son of former
Israel Ambassador to Britain
Michael Comay and Mrs.
Comay.
An artillery officer on the
Golan Heights, 33-year-old
Yohanan Comay had already
come through the heaviest
fighting on the Syrian front
when he was taken ill. His
battalion commander drove
him home, he fell into a
coma and died on the follow-
ing afternoon in Rambam
Hospital. He leaves a wife
and two young children.
The senior Comays left
London at the end of a three-
year ambassadorship.

Abe Grabman, 53,
S. Africa Zionist

JOHANNESBURG
Abe Grabman, vice presi-
dent of the South African
Zionist Federation and chair-
man of the Jewish Chap-
laincy Committee of the
South African Jewish Board
of Deputies, died at age 53.
Coming from England,
where he held leading posi-
tions in Zionist work, Mr.
Grabman identified himself
with South African Jewish
communal work, and was
elected to the executive coun-
cils of both the Zionist Fed-
eration and the Board of
Deputies.
He also became a member
of the world council of the
Jewish National Fund.
