Sandberg, who set to music

Bible, died Dec. 28 at age 76.
Born in Romania ,Mr. Sand-
berg first started his project
in 1924. His setting of the
Book of Psalms took 14
printed volumes. The oratorio
"Solomon" is a tetrology and
occupies four evenings.

Morton Barnett, South-

the staffs of Providence and
-Oakwood hospitals, died
Tuesday at age 59.
Dr. Barnett, 735 Ardmoor,
Birmingham, was an adjunct
professor at Wayne State Uni-
versity's medical school and
was a member of the Wayne
County Medical Society. He
was born in St. Catharines,
Ont., and lived in the Detroit
area for some 50 years.,
Surviving are his wife, Ann;
a son, Larry; three daugh-
ters, Marjorie; Mrs. Carolyn
Goldstein and Mrs. Donald
(Judy) Vogel; three sisters
and two grandchildren.

York's Town Hall in 1952,
and the Shavuot oratorio,
"Ruth," was presented in
1949. He also was the com-
poser of "Three Songs of As-
cent" and "Jerusalem, a Can-
tata of Victory and Peace,"

York.
Mr.Sandberg received a de-
gree in medicine from the
University of Vienria and be-
came a general practitioner
in Jerusalem in 1922. He
visited the U.S. in 1939 and
returned in 1945 to become a
citizen.
