Mark you, after lack of practice and get together since before the Yom Kippur War, Israel's finest, fresh from the firing line, com- bined to trounce a select American eleven. The contest marked the resumption of sports competition in the be- leaguered Holy Land. As they say in Israel, Kol Hakovod to the U. S. Soccer Federation and the U. S. Committee Sports for Israel for sending the American team to play before the cease fire had taken effect. Israel is finding it more difficult each month to com- pete against foreigners. Al- most every European coun- try begs off in hosting Israe- lis because of the high cost involved in security.
