THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Friday, December 7, 1973-31 Graves of Fathers Found at Suez Canal TEL AVIV (ZINS)—Three Israeli soldiers have found the graves of their fathers who died while serving the British army in Egypt during World War II on the west bank of the Suez Canal. "We've been looking for our fathers' graves for 33 years; we knew they have been buried near Ismailya," they said. The soldiers have applied for permission to have the remains transferred to Israel. Meanwhile, teams of mili- tary chaplains with members of Israel's burial societies are searching battle sites near the Suez Canal for killed Is- raeli soldiers previously listed as missing. This need was discovered when lists showed more men were unaccounted for than previously supposed. A prisoners of war list re- ceived from Egypt was rather small. Many "miss- ing" men are now believed to have actually died in battle. MOVIE GUIDE NEIGHBORHOOD Americana Complex I, II, III Greenfield Rd., N. of 9 Mile 358-3920 358-1414 Wed.
