Rabbinical Leader Sees No Backlash Threat From Oil Block

NEW YORK— Fears that
the energy crisis and the
Arab oil embargo could
cause an anti-Semitic back-
lash were dismissed here by
the president of the Rabbini-
cal Council of America (Or-
thodox).
In a statement issued from
the RCA headquarters, Rabbi
Louis Bernstein deplored re-
cent statements by leaders of
Jewish defense agencies
warning of such an eventu-
ality.
The agencies referred to

ing an artificial climate of
anti-Semitism with their pre-
dictions of an anti-Semitic
