Peimer, left, to vice presi- dent for administration and the appointment of Dr. Herbert A. Ravin as vice president for medical affairs at Sinai Hos- pital has been announced by Dr. Julien Priver, executive vice president of Sinai. Peimer's promotion to the new post gives him final authority over the day-to-day operation of the hospital and its personnel. In his new post, Dr. Ravin will provide guidance to all echelons of Sinai's medical staff of 665 physicians and dentists. Peimer, 55, has 28 years of experience in the hospital field. He has been administrator of Sinai since 1962 and earlier served as associate director for three years. He was affiliated with the Jewish Hospital and the Brookdale Hospital Center, both of Brooklyn. Dr. Ravin, 50, has been fulltime chairman of Sinai's department of medicine and professor of medicine at Wayne State Uni- versity since 1964. He has been responsible for the graduate education of Sinai house staff members in medicine and for supervision of research programs. Dr. Ravin is conducting a series of studies of the effect of certain modern drugs on Parkinson's Disease and is the author of numerous scientific reports.
