Emphasis of the third an- nual "Women's Plea for Human Rights for Soviet Jews" will be on support of Jews imprisoned in Soviet labor camps and denied the right to emigrate. Special at- tention will be paid Sylva Zalmanson, a 29-year-old en- gineer, critically ill and de- prived of proper medical care. Jewish- women's groups throughout the nation will be joined in their demonstra- tions by women of other re- ligious groups. Featured speaker at the Detroit rally will be Sister Margaret Brennan, general superior of the Sister Ser- vants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary of Monroe, who serves as president of the national Leadership Con- ference of Women Religious. Sister Margaret, along with Fr. Robert Drinan, Massa- chusetts congressman, and other members of the Inter- Sister Margaret Brennan omens religious Task Force on So- viet Jewry, twice have been refused visas to the Soviet Union. Sister Margaret has worked closely with Sister Margaret Ellen Traxler, na- tional co-chairman of the National Interreligious Task Force on Soviet Jewry.
