Mounting of an anti-Israel
campaign in Latin American
countries by Arab nations
was reported by Turkow,
who said anti-Semitic stereo-
types and propaganda bor-
rowed from the Nazis are
used in the campaign.
He displayed
documents
which show resort in the
anti-Semitic movement to
dramatization of Arab propa-
ganda, among them display
of an Egyptian child's photo
as a victim of Israel's bomb-
ing appearing in the Oct. 13,
1973, edition of El Mundo of
Buenos Aires. DAIA (Dele-
gation of Association of Ar-
gentina's Jewish Communi-
ties) had exposed the photo
as the same that was utilized
in the Arab League maga-
zine Liga Arabe in 1969.
Turkow noted that the
Arabs use "nonexistent"
publishing firms as fronts
for their tracts and books.

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

Frequently different editions
of the infamous anti-Semitic
document, "The Protocols of
the Elders of Zion" dating
back to the days of Czarist
Russia, appear. An edition
appeared in Portuguese in
Brazil, where copies of Hit-
ler's "Mein Kampf" have
been banned by the govern-
ment.
The DAIA met two weeks
ago with Argentina's Presi-
dent Peron, to discuss these
campaigns. According to a
report from the DAIA offi-
cials, Peron deplored such
activities, and stated that he
was against the Arab-Israel
conflict being brought to the

Describing the tenseness
of a situation that was cre-
ated by a war in which Israel
scored the greatest triumph
but nevertheless feels iso-
lated in an unfriendly world,
Stollman said that in spite
of the difficulties encounter-
ed there is a determined will
to continue strengthening the

cultural instutions while re-
building the economic struc-
tures.
Stollman said that Israel
needs American encourage-
ment and gains strength
from uninterrupted tourism.
"Israel needs to see her
friends, to be aware of the
presence of American Jews,"
Stollman said. "One of the
most important obligations
is to rebuild tourism. It will
be one of the major ways of
giving comfort and strength
to our embattled fellow Jews
in Israel who are fighting
for life against an unfriendly
world."

Turkow said that in gen-

tions." He estimated that

Go'_dmann, president of the WJC;
Dr. Gerhart M. Riegner of Gene-
va, secretary-general, WJC; Prof.

tor, American Jewish Congress;
Dr. Stephen J. Roth, of London,
director of the Institute of Jew-
ish Affairs and executive direc-
tor, European Section, WJC, and
Prof. Hans J. Mergenthau, distin-
guished professor of internation-
al relations at the City Univer-
sity of New York.

Dayan, Israeli minister of
